Rainy is thrilled to be teaching at the Playground
as she loves to watch the kids learn the skills of
acting that help them shine on stage, in front of
the camera and in life.
Rainy was born in Los Angeles and moved to
Winnipeg, Canada when she was three years
old. A citizen of both the United States and
Canada, Rainy grew up speaking both English and French. She began
acting at a young age and by the time she was 13, had performed in
numerous plays & commercials.
Rainy has always had the right level of sense-of-play and silliness to work
with kids. She performs improv for kid’s shows and works with them on
Some of her credits include, Fracture, Pride and Prejudice, The Gamers,
Where’s Angelo? Maxwell and Babe in the theater production of Crimes of
the Heart. Rainy was the host of the reality-show pilot Who’s That? and
landed the recurring role of Ava Phora, a young news-anchor on the
webisode series 1Ktvla.com.
She also volunteers annually to host the LA Unified School District
Academic Awards, where she has the honor of presenting the medals to
some of LA’s brightest students.
Rainy performs every Saturday nightat the LA Connection with her improv troupe. She studied theater at the University of Manitoba, The Groundlings and
Robert Carnegie’s, famed Playhouse West Theater. She is also a screenwriter and has two films in development.
